Blessings.

Sometimes I get grumpy. When I get grumpy, I tend to complain.
I was doing this this morning when a familiar song popped into my head.
"Count your blessings, count them one by one... see what God has done."
And I was like, "OH."
So here are just a few my blessings (not in any particular order).

1. Two healthy, happy boys who I love hanging out with and being their mom.

2. An amazing husband who is my rock, my voice of reason, the love of my life, and my best friend.

3. A house over my head, a warm bed to sleep in, a gorgeous view, a giant yard for my boys to play.

4. Hubby's dream job... his dream pays the bills and he loves it... at the SAME TIME.

5. Food that's always in the cupboards and the fridge.

6. Great medical help that's close and accessible when we need it.

7. Family who lives nearby and are more than willing to help with the kids at the drop of a hat.

8. Family who live far away, but we feel the love and support over the miles.

9. My minivan I wanted so badly. Even though the alternator doesn't always work, it's better than a truck.

10. I love my in-laws. My family is not like the movies where I have a monster-in-laws. We always have a grand time when we're all together. They're not separate from my blood family, they are grafted into it.

11. A best friend nearby who I can be goofy with. We revert back to being 14-year-olds when we're together. And we are the most hilarious people EVER (even if no one else knows it).
12. Two other friends who live across the country, but whenever I talk to them, it's like we were never apart. I can talk to these ladies about anything and everything.

13. Technology. I curse it sometimes, but we all know problems with it are 90% user error. It makes my life so much easier.

14. To be born in America. The right to vote, the right of free speech, the right to practice my religion, the right to bear arms, and so many other liberties I shouldn't take for granted.

15. The ability to communicate straight with God, to talk to him anywhere and anytime and to ask forgiveness immediately without the medium of  temple, altar, sacrifices, or a priest.
The fact that I can have a relationship with Jesus, and not just follow a set of rules to get into heaven (I'd be toast... literally!)
The fact that I don't follow hollow religion, but am pursuing (and being pursued by) and living God.

16. Living in a first world country where my biggest problem is keeping up with the Jones' or making my life blog/Pinterest perfect.

I will be referring to these things whenever a complaint crosses my lips.
